ULTHERAPY PRIME

Ultherapy PRIME is a U.S. FDA-cleared non-invasive and non-surgical facelift that uses micro-focused ultrasound with real time visualisation (MFU-V) technology to lift and tighten the skin by stimulating collagen production.  

Ultherapy PRIME procedure is fast and requires limited downtime from normal activities. Unlike laser, Ultherapy PRIME procedure can be performed on individuals of all skin color.

How does Ultherapy PRIME work?

Ultherapy PRIME is the registered trademark for a brand of HIFU produced by Merz. It delivers focused ultrasound that reaches and heats the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) layer – the connection between the skin and muscle where actual surgical facelift targets. When the SMAS layer is heated to an optimal temperature, neocollagensis occurs to strengthen existing weak collagen and stimulate the production of new, stronger collagen. This makes the skin smoother and diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and other signs of aging.

Length of Time for Procedure 

Numbing cream is applied prior to the procedure to make the treatment comfortable. The treatment may take about 30-120 minutes depending on the extent of treatment required to meet each patient’s goal.
