Thermage

What Is Thermalift?

The ThermaCool TC uses a unique form of radio frequency (RF) energy to allow the dermasurgeon to tighten loose or sagging skin and inducing a kind of "lift" without an incision. Before, during and after each gentle touch of the device tip, the surface of the skin is cooled with a cryogen spray, while the deeper tissue, called the dermis, is treated by radiofrequency heating.

What Does It Do?

While not a substitute for a surgical facelift, the Thermage procedure can be used on patients with a mild to moderate amount of sagging skin. The Thermage procedure (or "Thermalift") is a non-surgical procedure that can lift and tighten tissue, sometimes eliminating or delaying the need to undergo a surgical procedure. Even after a surgical facelift, Thermage has been shown to enhance and prolong the clinical tightening effect.

How Is It Different?

The ThermaCool TC device is designed to safely deliver higher energies to a greater volume of tissue with potential for deep and uniform heating, while lasers and other RF technologies produce hot spots closer to the skin's surface. It is this uniform heating effect — called volumetric heating — that causes the deeper structural tissue changes seen with the Thermage procedure.

What Are the Benefits ?
