Liposonix Non-Surgical Body Contouring Therapy

What Is LIPOSONIX ® Ultrasound Therapy?

Liposonix® is a non-invasive fat loss treatment that uses high intensity focused ultrasound energy to break down fatty tissue, which is then naturally eliminated from the body.

How does it work?

Liposonix® delivers therapeutic high intensity ultrasound energy to targeted areas of fat. The ultrasound energy disrupts fat cells, without harming surrounding tissue. The dissolved fat is flushed from the body through the body's own natural metabolic process. The Liposonix® procedure is non- invasive and has no down time. Treatment usually takes between one and two hours, depending on the size of the area to be treated. Patients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

What can be treated with Liposonix®?

An ideal candidate is an individual with a body mass index (BMI) of under thirty. Liposonix® can help improve cellulite, saddle bags and love handles, as well as localized fat in the abdomen, thighs, waist etc. A proper consultation with Dr Eileen Tan is required to assess whether you are an ideal candidate for this procedure.

What kind of results can I expect from Liposonix®?

Although results may vary, the Liposonix® technology is clinically proven to reduce waistline by an average of 2.5cm after one treatment, with incremental improvements resulting from multiple treatments. Most patients will have the best results after three treatments. Similar to liposuction, Liposonix® therapy is not meant as a weight loss treatment. Hence, the aesthetic outcomes have been very good for those who maintain a healthy lifestyle after the procedure.

What can be expected during and immediately after procedure?

During Liposonix® treatment, you may experience some discomfort, tingling or prickling sensation and slight warmth. Temporary redness, bruising, swelling and some soreness on the treatment zones may occur and it will go away within one to two weeks. The best result typically occurs 3 months from the treatment.
